View Full Version : Magic Kingdom
On the fri 16th April will be our first day, we plan to spend the day shopping. MK is open untill 11pm and it will be the only night that is it's open late. We plan to go and watch spectro and wishes.I imagine it will be crowded, what time should we arrive to make sure we get in as i have heard the park can close if it gets to busy.

I can't imagine this would be the case marv. When I was there at xmas, it closed three times, but it's generally unheard of any other time than xmas, thanksgiving etc.!

I think that you would be very unlucky to find the park closed due to over crowding.
As for what time to get to the MK, when we went 2 years ago we took our place for Spectromagic some 2 hours before the start time and even then we had to fight for a good viewing spot.
That said it was when Spectromagic was only on on a Saturday night, so if they are doing more often now then it should be less crowded.
Marv,
I checked the schedule before I went in February and it changed a few times before we got there.
I'd say keep checkin on it as if its going to be your first day I doubt if you'll be able to keep up the pace to stay in MK that long.!!!
They certainly do the night time parades and fireworks more than once a week.

We were there in early March. At this time there were two Spectromagic Parades (Tuesday and Saturday i believe). We got to the park an hour before the parade on Saturday and got a good spot. That said Main Street was packed and we did need to go through to Frontier Land to get a curb side position.

Haven't seen the Spectromagic Parade, must put it on our list next time we are in Orlando. Saying that we haven't been to the MK for a while as our boys consider themselves to be too old for it! How can you ever be too old for Disney![msnsmile]
