We have a 5 park flex ticket for universal. It says we oly have to pay parking once each day.
How much is parking?
(Universal studios, Islands of adventure, sea world, busch gardens and wet and wild.)

Ana

Or $12 for preferred parking or $18 for valet parking (this is the option we use as it saves loads of time and is very handy with small children).

Do you get Valet Parking at a reduced rate with the annual pass?

I can forgive them for putting the price of the parks up (just about), but I've never understood why they have to raise the parking fees too.

Although its only raised by $1 at a time, its quite a hike in percentage terms, around 14.3% this year.

Surely they make enough money from the parks, resorts, merchandise to cover it !

Rant over.

Tend to agree with you on that

If you have the 2 park 'preferred' annual pass you get free parking, its an extra 4$ for preferred parking, for valet parking you have to pay for the first 2 hours.:)

I THINK THE PARKING CHARGES ARE DISGRACEFUL AS THE PARK TICKETS SHOULD INCLUDE FREE PARKING! IT IS JUST ANOTHER MONEY MAKING BUSINESS WITH CAR PARKS.

same here Tracy, we were quite shocked at having to pay for parking as well, if they were to just put a dollar or so on the entrance fee for parking instead and not two seperates !!!!!!!

Parking charges cheese me off so much that we always count all the change up and give it them in small change

9 times out of 10 they just waive you through as it's too much effort to count all that change

Worked every time we went to both Universal parks this year

Although I have to admit that I always make my good lady hand it over [msnwink]

I also don't think there should be parking fees....the park entrance costs enough.

LiesaAnna

imagine how much money they make a day on parking alone[msneek]

We got an annual pass last year and when it came up for renewal there was a special offer on it was $99.00. You get free parking and 20% of all merchandise and dining in the park. When you work out what it is for a 3 day pass it is good value.

Same here Steve and Dawn, go 3 times and you've more than got your money back even without the special offer rate!<blockquote id="quote" class="ffs">quote:Originally posted by Steve and Dawn

I am sure that when we first visited Disney about 12 years ago the parking was free. I may be wrong but I cannot remember paying. I could be wrong can anyone confirm?

I cannot swear to it, but I am sure there were parking charges when we went for the first time to Orlando in 1991. We certainly paid in 1995 at Universal and Sea world, but were staying at Dixie Landings and so did not have to pay for the WDW parks.

Harry[/quote]As far as I remember, we've always paid for parking in all the theme parks. I seeme to remember it was either $4 or $5 in 1994.

With the Universal Parks, only $3 more would get one into one of the Priority Parking bays saving a lot of parking hassle and walking time and distance. I found this facility useful cos I did not want to start the day with a lot of parking related aggro.

We also paid for the Priority Parking at Universal, the extra $3 seemed worth it to us.[msnsmile]

Just back from Florida and parking at Universal is now $9 for regular parking and $13 for preferred parking. We took out an annual preferred pass for Universal ($171) and regular parking is now free with preferred parking for $4 plus all the other benefits mentioned earlier i.e. 20% off all merchandise 10-15% off at restaurants etc.

The good news is though, if you leave the parks during the day and want to go back to eat at Citywalk (in between Islands of Adventure and Universal)at night, then arrive after 1800 and it is free parking!

where can you buy the parking passes. can you view them online

also do disney do a parking pass?

E. Cosgrove

You pay at the gate as you go in Trev, remember to have some dollars handy. I don't know if there is facility to buy parking passes beforehand but don't think it would really gain you anything as you would still have to be in the queue with everyone else who was paying.<blockquote id="quote" class="ffs">quote:Originally posted by trevlad

Parking was $7 when I was there in Early March. Quick tip if your going to see reflections of earth at epcot in the evening. arrive after 7pm and the parking attendants will not be there they finish at 7pm. Just a thought

well i must be in the minority on here because i dont mind paying for my parking at all

i think they are well organised, secure and efficient and when it comes to the parking and i'm happy to pay

at home i pay £4 to park for 3 hours in the town centre car parks which are a scramble for a parking bay and have no attendants other than those happy to slap a ticket on your car for being a few minutes late after the said ticket has expired and worst of all the security is just a joke
