Airport - sanford

Does anybody have a list of hotels around sanford airport or web sites all i can seam to get is hotels.com. When i would like the hotels offical web sites.

We plan to arive there then book hotel close bye many thanks

We stayed in the Days Inn near Sanford Airport on one occasion. Perfectly adequate for a single night stay.

According to the Days Inn website, 8 miles.

From memory there are certainly no hotels on airport at SFB and none on the road immediately leading to it. I'd suspect the one at 8 miles might well be the nearest.

As it was well over 2 years ago it's difficult to remember how far it seemed, although I was quite surprised to read on the website that it was as much as 8 miles. I do seem to remember it was pretty much a straight line route from the airport, so not hard to find. Having not been to Sanford since (much prefer flying scheduled into MCO), I'm a little out of touch with that area.

And quite frankly, 8 miles is nothing in Florida. When staying in a villa you'll probably drive further than that to eat out every evening.

Don't forget there's a time difference of 5 hours.

Flight departure and arrival times are always quoted in the local time. Timings always have some slack built into them, so actual flying time will almost certainly be less than the timings might suggest. 9 hours actual flying time is about right to Sanford.

We did Virgin MAN - MCO (Orlando International) with Virgin last week in 8 hours 40 minutes, althogh that was by B747 which are slightly faster than the charter companies B767 etc etc.

I'd think in terms of a 9 hour flight and you will not be too far out.

On the way back we did it in 6 hours 55 mins as it's always quicker on the way back (North Atlantic jetstreams) - maybe allow 7 hours 30 minutes for the way back.

we got hotel near sandford the closest one holiday inn but the was 8 miles !
