View Full Version : WDW Hopper 'non-transferability'; does it work?

All the WDW Hopper passes say that they are non-transferable and must be used by the SAME PERSON for all the designated visits. Since the Hoppers do not require signatures, how are they going to make this work within families? For that matter, how are WE going to be sure? In our party, I am going to hold all 7 passes except the moment we go through the turnstile or during 'fastpass' attempts. Now two of our 7-day hopper plusses have Mickey on them and two have Goofy; so how can WE be sure which is which?
Also, the two seniors in my group have 7-day hopper plusses but will not go to Blizzard Beach or Pleasure Island. My wife has a 4-day hopper since she is sitting out MGM and Magic Kingdom, but intends to use her mother's 7-day hopper plus to go to both BB & PI. I don't think we will be doing anything wrong since we paid for both. But how will the Disney staff find out?

Depends how you bought the tickets. Some have the name and address embeded in the magnetic strip.They do sopemtimes ask for photo ID and quiz over when the ticket has been used. Its very rare but very embarising if you get caught out.
Its only around $30 for entrance to the water parks, in the grand sceem of things is it so much extra to pay for honesty and peace of mind.
You can mark the tickets with a pen as to which one belongs to whom.

We marked all our passes with our initial so that we would be sure but even so some times they worked and other times not my husbands pass would`nt scan on numerous occasions but they let us pass by putting another pass through

I bought the tickets through THIS site and as far as I can remember, I was NOT asked for a list of names of the other people. I have always dealt with Mr Parry entirely by myself and if there are names and addresses on the magnetic strip, it can only be mine and mine alone. I am the common factor for ALL WDW visits and so I imagine we will be all right. What do you think?

I am the one who mailed you the tickets, I can only recommed you follow the rules and regulations as set out on the tickets. We do not record names on the tickets.....

I understand completely what you're telling me and will follow your advice.
We also got our tickets from this site, had no problems using them at all,
We did have to sign the back of the sea world/Bush Garden combo tickets which was fine, Until
I saw Sam had written James Bond on his, the lady laughed her head off when she saw it. it
was obvious we were a family and so no fraud, just a little biy being a little boy :)
We were given some hopper plus tickets a couple of years ago by friends who have no intention of returning to Orlando (they are obviously insane as they weren't impressed by Orlando's finest). They had one day in a theme park and one in either a water park or Pleasure Island left.
We used the theme park day in 2001 and hope to use them for a water park in June.
The people who originally bought them will never use them again, so it seems a waste just to throw them away.
We worte our names on ours but we were asked on occasion to put our fingers in the fingerprint machine to check they belonged to us. It seemed to be a random check - if it beeped when the ticket was put in we had to have our fingerprints checked.
I don't know if pleasure island and blizzard beach have these though so you may be OK. I don't think I would chance it though!
We've only ever had our fingers scanned when we've had annual passes, which we have this year for the theme parks.
Dont remember ever having it done when we've had hoppers or day passes.
Over the last couple of years, my annual passes have been very hit and miss. Most times the gate attendant just lets me through after the pass has been rejected several times.
Not sure why as both passes are kept together in the same place and Sue's always works first time !
