Personally, I always thought that luggage prices for good quality top brand name suitcases were dearer than in the UK!

Places in the UK like Makro, Costco, factory shops and some supermarkets normally sell brand names at very reasonable prices. Could you find somewhere in the UK to buy them and take one inside another suitcase so that you get two for your 'goodies' when you return home?

I've had some good buys from K-Mart in the past, especially large holdalls - worth a try![msnwink][msncool]

We bought 4 cases from Matalan 2 years ago, 2 bigguns + 2 little-un's so we now go out with 2 cases, with 2 smaller ones inside. :)

The 192 Fleemarket at mile marker 15 has a good luggage 'stall'
Very cheap prices for that last minute extra case etc.

Has anybody been to a McArthur Glen factory outlet in the UK, a US style outlet centre, Cheshire Oaks at Ellesmere Port/Chester is the closest to me, but there are various McArthur Glen's over the country.

I have purchased suitcase and hand luggage from the Antler outlet and their prices were cheaper than Makro, which I also use.

Slightly more expensive than Matalan, but a well known good quality brand. There is also a Samsonite and other luggage outlets.

Every time that I have visited, there have been large discounts.

Hi Marv
A couple of years ago we had to buy another suitcase, (does that sound familiar to anyone?) and got what we thought was a really good deal at the Samsonite shop at Premium Outlet Mall at Buena Vista. Especially with the £:$ rate the way it is now it is worth a look

I have just returned from Florida. I bought a 30" expandable trolley case from Wal Mart for $38. Excellent quality, great price.

We bought 2 folding holdalls in walmart for $10 each. They fold up small enough to fit in the hand luggage next time. We flew out hand luggage only and completely filled the holdalls to go in the hold on the way home. we've got our own villa so keep nearly enough clothes in our locker for the whole holiday.

Purchased 2 from Walmart 4 years and and they have been through the ringer and are still like new. Can't remember what I paid, but bought one in Florida to replace one that got destroyed by the airlines.
