We've never used the '4-day Hopper' pass before, but someone in our party has one this time. If they used it to go to Animal Kingdom on a day, got 'hand stamped' on the way out, went back to the villa to freshen up and returned to Magic Kingdom to see the Fireworks Show later in the same evening, would that still be calculated as a SINGLE visit?

That's right Nostromo. Thats why it's called a Hopper because you can hop from park to park on one day. You can do this with the 10 day world pass as well, the only one you can't is a single park, single day ticket. You could if you wished visit all 4 parks in one day and that would be 1 day of your pass used up.
Yes it is a single visit. We did exactly the same thing last week with a 4 day hopper.
That would indeed be a single visit, that is the definition behind the hopper part of the name.
You could even go from MK, to EPCOT, to MGM, to AK and it would still constitute as one day off of the hopper pass.

Thanks, people. I thought so too, but we had not used that particular ticket before and I was not 100% certain.
Have you considered a 4 day hopper plus? This gives you a day at a waterpark as well for a nominal amount more.

Thanks Nigel, but that is not really necessary. There are 6 of us, including 2 seniors, who hold 7-day Hopper Plus passes which are good for the water parks. The seniors are not keen on the water parks and so my wife (the 4-day hopper user) can use one of theirs when we go to Blizzard Beach and both visits to Pleasure Island. She wants to miss MK and MGM this time since she has seen them 3 times before and do shopping instead. It is her choice (and her money:D:D).
