I thought this water park had closed and Universal had redesigned it? or am I mistaken.

Yes it is being replaced with Volcanoe Bay which looks fabulous.

We were out there at the end of last year with the last day of opening being 31 December. The new water park looks good - you can see it being built as you drive up and down the I4.
I've just seen that it's to open on 25th May....looks amazing on maps etc
Unfortunately Volcano bay looks better in photos than it actually is - very disappointing from all the feedback I have heard. Very poor location overlooking the I4.

funny as we gave been getting opposite. Fabtastic park but there were the usuall opening issues. I went into thecpark beforr it opened and its is 1000% better than Wet n Wild which to me was a themeless cage on the side of the road.

It has been full to capacity for most of the lat 10 days with good weather.
My sister and her family have been twice and unable to get in. Apparently queues star forming as early as 6.30am and they advise getting there no later than 8am despite the park not opening until 10am.
This is not really practical with a young family so hopefully things will improve or you'll be able to book in advance.
