Hi all

I'm pricing flights for Orlando September 2016 and seeing flights out of Dublin to Gatwick then direct to Orlando with British Airways.

What I am wanting to know is does anyone know if we will clear US Customs in Dublin airport or will they not allow us since we are routing through England?

P.s. the flights are gathered through Sky Scanner - £349pp

Thanks

No, you can only "clear" formalities on flights leaving Dublin and heading direct to USA. You'll do it all in Orlando I'm aftraid....sorry

Thanks. That is what I thought (feared) :(

I've flew from Dublin a few times in the past but this is the first time flights via England are coming up cheaper for me.

I don't know your precise dates but you can get very close to that price most of September on American Airlines going Dublin-Charlotte-Orlando arriving in MCO a few minutes after 4 p.m. and those DO qualify for pre-clearance.

This is for 9th September to 23rd September
Done a search there myself and seeing them for £382 however the layover time in CLT on return leg is 8 hours.

Take the Aircoach bus from Belfast direct to Dublin airport ( Terminal 2 )

Get on bus ...... off at kerbside at T 2 ..into terminal 2 walk 100 yards and into check in counter .

We do this from Cork.

Yes done that before cork, handy enough. Probably drive though depending on parking prices..
