Alamo Full Size SUV - Buick Enclave

1002We recently collected a Full size SUV from Alamo and there were 2 of these to chose from. It is big, has 7 seats (with the last row down there is enough room for 5 -6 large cases), is very well equipped and actually (for an American car) drives pretty well. Typically poor fuel economy (about 18 mpg) but no worse then most. We have had a number of full size SUV's over the year (3 different ones on this trip alone) and I have to say that this is by far my favourite. I would really recommend this car if it is an option.

Always been kind of fond of Buicks. They've been a bit of a joke in the US for some years from what I've seen (for the uninspiring designs) but our first ever hire car was a Buick le Sabre about 30 years ago and I've had a soft spot ever since. This one looks ok.

I've always been tempted by the Buick. I'll have to cross it off my list sometime.
