Is the free wi-fi in Disney parks just in Florida as there was none in Disneyland, California when we were there last week?
not sure but there is certainly free WiFi in the Florida Disney and Epcot

I don't know.
My colleague said they had free WiFi at WDW parks this summer and she stayed in a Condo not at WDW itself.
They had free WiFi when we were last there in November.
HOWEVER
do not expect to much if it's still the same as when we tried it.
We may have been early and they were just getting started as I do not know the official start date. We could get a connection with no problem never managed to get a web site fully loaded or do much else as the connection was so s l o w. Given that the parks are not that busy in early November it could only have become worse. It may be that they have allocated more bandwidth now.
It would be interesting to hear from someone who has tried it recently.

Disney definitely had free wifi in July/August. Had no problems using it whilst in the parks, very useful.
Here now and no problems using it.
We were using it in Downtown Disney in July and had a great signal. We also had a great signal in Epcot and at the Boardwalk.
We were in SeaWorld in June and they didn't have wifi then.

We used Disney World's WiFi in July. There were some dead zones, but it was still helpful to have.

UPDATE on what I found while there.
Disney's free WiFi was excellent, very strong signal even at Downtown Disney etc.
No WiFi at all at SeaWorld or Aquatica.
Limited Wifi on certain rides in Universal Studios and in a small number areas but not general park wide Wifi like Disney. EG Minion Mayhem had good strong Wifi and some of the other attractions did too but as soon as you got about 10 yards away from the ride you lost signal.

We used it in January and it was fine for checking ride times ect. Also as an alternative to an expensive phone call for making contact back to the villa when ready to be collected etc.
