Hoping someone here has probably done this before

I'm flying to NC with US Airways from Dublin and want to take a spare HTC Desire HD battery with me on the plane so that I can listen to music on my phone without worrying too much about it dying (which it most certainly will)

Has anyone done this before, or taken spare Laptop batteries charged up? I wouldn't want to make a whole scene going through customs because they have found a spare battery in my bag

Thanks

If that is a phone you will be fine. I believe the allowed amount of lithium per battery is 8 grams. Most phones and laptop batteries are under this. I take a backup power supply for my iPhone/ipad. These are much bigger than the regular battery.

I have taken my Sony Laptop on the US flights & I have a spare battery in the case.

Never had any problems.

Thanks, will take the spare phone battery. It is Lithium-ion so will be under 8grams

Don't think there will be any problem whatsoever with the additional battery. My four children have every electrical device and spares/batteries imaginable and it has never been a problem (other than my fury at the amount of junk and number of wires/batteries weighing down our luggage).

Excuse my nosiness, but is LFC Linfield or Liverpool? Or am I barking up the wrong tree?

It's Liverpool ;) Red through and through here
