Hi
Could anyone recommend a hotel where my wife and I and two teenage boys could stay for one night in early August 2013.
We are staying in Orlando but fancy a day at the beach on the Gulf Coast for my wifes birthday.
I would like somewhere not too quiet so with some good shopping for her and some decent restaurants.

I've stayed at Don Cesar in St Pete's - love it just for a night or too - there are some good deals to be had especially for mid-week stays but I would recommend two nights so you can have a beach experience.

Anna Maria Island is lovely and has soft sandy beaches if you google it it will show lots of places to stay.
The other option is a villa if you increased your stay to 3 nights, an owner may have a gap between their summer bookings.
Maybe worth checking out the Gulf Coast Villas section on OV.
We are booked but others may not be. Just a thought.

Siesta Key may be a good option.
It will be the summer break so most places will want 2 night rentals on the weekend.
Howe692ver mid week 1 night would be possible.
Siesta Beach won the number 1 beach in the USA.
It has pure white quart sand.
Family friendly area, Very laid back.693
Have a great trip where ever you land on the Gulf coast you cant go wrong.
