Hi Folks,

We are flying out to Florida on Friday and have just booked a cruise from Miami at the end of our holiday.

We haven't left from Miami port for a couple of years and wondered if anyone knew if Alamo still run the shuttle service from the car rental centre at the airport down to the port. We have used it many times in the past but our cruises over the past couple of years have been from Ft Lauderdale so just wondering if it still operates since the move to the new car rental centre at Miami airport.

Any comments from people who have used it recently would be appreciated.

I am not sure if Alamo run a shuttle to the port anymore but there is now a monorail running from the car hire to the airport so it is easy to get a taxi at the airport to the port. We actually stayed the night before sailing at Miami Airport Hotel where we just had to take the lift down to the exit from arrivals. I think it only cost about $20 for the taxi to the port.

Enjoy your cruise.

Thanks Maureen. I used the shuttle a lot in the past but not since the new car rental centre opened so just wondered if it still operated. Looks as though a taxi is a cheap option and more convenient.

All packed and ready to fly out to the villa tomorrow........looks as though we are taking the cold weather over with us looking at the forecasts!

Thanks again.

Hope you have a great cruise! Wish we were going on one soon.

What ship are you going on? We went on Allure before Christmas and it was brilliant.

Would definitely suggest using a taxi, far less hassle.

Hi Ellie,

Hope you are well.

Arrived here at the villa last night - great to be back. Thanks for the great advice you and Barbara gave me back in November!

Celebrity Constellation this time Ellie. We were on the Solstice last year and loved the service and cabins. Going Concierge class for a few extras. We like the no smoking on balcony policy Celebrity and Princess have after a few bad experiences in the past. Can only fit a 5 day cruise in this time as we have other things arranged so this was the only Celebrity option available. Really looking forward to it.
