Tia, $15 per day at Disney, or it was in July/August this year, unless it has risen.

That's not bad...it seems to have gone up by a dollar since we were there is 2009....

It is getting more and more expensive. Do theynot think that they get enough revenue from the visitors. We have friends who go to Downtown Disney and take the Disney buses to the various parks.

We've done this - it's not the amount involved it's just the principle of paying more on an already expensive ticket and it adds up fast if you visit more than once!!

it does sound a lot when you add up all the days you spend in the park. But you can make it work for you. Don't forget it is valid all day for any disney park. You may spend a full day at one park, but maybe one day you visit AK and in the evening you could go to Hollywood studios to watch fantasmic, if you have a hopper pass. compared to the city centre parking where we are, it costs £9 for four hours.

We have annual passes to Sea World because we go a lot. We don't have to pay for parking and get 10% discount on spending in the park. This works out great for us as we just pop in for a couple of hours. AT Disney even if you have an annual ticket you still have to pay for parking and the ticket is still very expensive.

Lyn I have a premium annual pass for Disney and Universal and do not pay for parking.

Hi Lyn..... I agree with Ceri....

We have Disney Premium Annual passes & when staying "off" site we don't pay for parking. When staying on site, parking is not charged either....

When you think more & more "Hotels" (including Swan & Dolphin, I think) are charging for parking, everyone is getting in on the act....

I disliked paying to park at Gaylord Palms, having spent a fortune on tickets for ICE & SNOW last year..... but its just like the debate on tipping [msnwink]

If you eat in one of the restaurants at Gaylord palms, they will validate your ticket for free parking.

It also seems that the more you pay for a hotel room the more the parking charge is. The modest hotels usually have free parking (and free wifi) whereas the allegedly better places charge through through the nose for them.

I stayed 1 night at the JW Marriott Grande Lakes last week and was charged $35 for parking and wifi on top of the already very high room rate. As far as parking is concerned, you don't really have any alternatives and they know it.

That's one of our favourite Orlando hotels, mainly because of Primo's - did you manage a meal there during your stay?

Yes I did but the bill was purely my fault there!

Lyn I have a premium annual pass for Disney and Universal and do not pay for parking.

Sorry yes. just looked and the normal annual pass does include parking. I was thinking of some friends who have a pass that does not include parking, but they get a Florida residant pass, because they have Florida driving licences.

Ah yes! Well at least it will have the car parking charge look very resonable [msnwink]

You still get free parking with Florida Resident Annual Passes, it is only the Seasonal ones that don't get parking. We get one of each so we get the free parking and save on the seasonal one.

Lyn, meant to say that you do not have to have a Florida Driving Licence to get a resident's pass. You only need to have proof of being a homeowner. A untility bill with your name and address on it is usually sufficient.

Yes Andrena but thats were we have the problem, all of our bills are sent to our UK address as we have a problem with the post in the US (once there is a couple of things in the box not collected we get a property vacant card left in the box and no more post, very annoying).

Andrena is quite right - we got our Residents Passes in August and they were quite happy to have our Comcast and Kua bills.

If you take a copy of your property tax form, which will certainly have your names and US address attached, they will accept that.

All of our bills come to our UK address but hey also have our florida address on them. We got passes last year - not the premium ones so no parking was included.

Remember Christine that as Andrena pointed out , parking is included in the residents annual as well as premium pass. It is only the seasonal which does not include parking.

We are thinking of getting the weekday pass as it is a lot cheaper and the blackout dates are not a problem as we are not there then anyway.
