You are going to have a great time. There is a lot of fun to be had well before your trip, planning where you will go and what you will do. Bring plenty of sunscreen and make sure you are prepared for the change in temperature. This is the place to have all your questions answered.

You have doing exactly the right thing going for 21 nights. There is so much to do in Florida and for a first visit you are giving yourself time for the busy days at the Parks and the Malls and the quiet days round the pool.

You will have a great time.

We went for 21 days back in 2006. It's lovely on the 13th day when you realise most of the people you met on the plane coming out will be packing to go home and you still have another week ;) Sadly, can only manage 14 days on this occasion [msnsad]

It's great to hear from you all ......you have all helped put my mind at rest a bit ....i would not say i am worried ...more a feeling of being "terrified" hahahahaha.
I have never been on a plane for any length of time and the thought of eight hours sends my head in a spin......i have never liked flying but i also said it would not stop me going on holidays and enjoying myself ...my wife likes flying ,all the rest of the family have flown before apart from my 11 year old grandaughter , so we might be able to sit next to each other and hold each others hand hahahahahaha.I have only been reading this site for a couple of days and i have learned so much already ...thanks for all your help and wise words ...and the links .Thank's to all who have replied .

Welcome to the forum. 21 days, how lucky. We always go for 2 weeks and go again in 10 days time. However, we have talked about next time going for 3 weeks. I am sure you will love it. This is certainly the place to find out everything Florida, for the best villas, car hire and park tickets. It will come around sooner than you think.

Welcome.

I have been to many parts of Florida over the years and only found this forum last year and find it invaluable. Loads of friendly of help.

As there is normally only two of us we go for 21 days and it's a lovely feeling knowing at the end of two weeks you still have a week to go but that week always seems to fly by.

Even after going so many times I get so much fun in the planning.

Hi and welcome, that's one if the really good things about the forum for a newbie, most of the posts even if you read back a few years are still relevant, very few give info which through the passage if time becomes wrong

Welcome to the site and seems like you are planning your holiday already. Try not to crush too much in during your stay, enjoy the villa and the swimming pool as well as all the attractions of Florida.

thanks guys ....i,m realy looking forward to our trip to florida ......you are right val....i am organising things right now, new passports for some family members and then the esta forms....i also need to apply for a photo licence as mine is still the old paper licence .......and then we will have to see about insurance (i am retired early due to ill heath)....so there is still much to organise yet. After all the formalities are taken care of we can then sit down and pencil in what we will be doing (i,m sure that will change a few times as we have 4 children in the group.....Plus 5 big kids :D).
thanks to all for the kind welcome [beer]

I am sure you will have a great time. Lindfields is quite close to Disney, but the other parks are easily accessible. Many of us still drive in Florida with the "old" paper UK driving licences, but you should carry your passport with you as photo ID. 3 weeks is the ideal length of stay - enjoy every minute.
