I have flights booked with US Airways and they were booked online. In the past with other companies there was space online to fill in API information but as yet I have not seen it on the US website. Does anyone know at what point if any US air will require this info. We Travel in July.

The last time we flew with US they take the information whilst you're waiting to check-in at the airport.

Yep that used to be the case but I thought now that they required API no later than 48 hours before the flight leaves. At least thats what TC told me last year

Secure Flight Passenger Data must be completed 72 hrs before departure. VA API includes the information required to satisfy SFPD, I thought you had to complete the SFPD info in advance for US carriers and the rest is taken at check in.

So far all they have are passenger names and my address. They have not asked for any other info. Maybe they will ask nearer the day?

Just had the response posted below from US Air. Well at least that clears it up for me and from the horses mouth so to speak.

Dear Mr. Vickers,

Thank you for your reply.

Please be advised that there is no need to provide passport numbers and
address of the first nights stay in the USA 72 hours before departure.

Passport nubmers are only required at check in, if you check in on the
website, the website will ask you for that information as well as the
address of the first nights stay in the USA.

We know that you have many choices when it comes to traveling and we
would like to say thank you for choosing US Airways.

Sincerely,

Alma Olsen
