we are visiting for 2 weeks in august, staying in Kissimmee with 4 children, where are the best places to eat? we are thinking of buffet style breakfast and evening meals due to there being 6 of us, is this a good idea??

Buffet style breakfasts are available in Ponderosa, Sizzlers, Las Vegas and various other places up and down Highway 192. Most of them are around $3.99 (discount if you have a voucher) plus your drinks so you can give each one a whirl and tell us which you like best when you get back.

The Golden Coral is good but I use the one on Vineland as the one on 192 tends to be a bit of a trough. No real need to eat buffet every night. There is little difference in price between a buffet and a family style restaurant with a served sit down meal. Try Perkins ( great puds) Bob Evans and Dennys for a great family style meal, also the unique Cracker Barrel ( nothing to do with cheese!!).

We loved Perkins, drove past it for 2 weeks and always said we should go in. Managed it on
our last night and wow it was really good

If you are in Davenport, head south towards Haines on 27 rather than onto 192. There is a Perkins and Bob Evans there at Baseball City also they are building a Cracker Barrel at this very moment. Perkins has homestyle meals at $7.99 so just as cheap as a buffer. True you have a server to tip but you are supposed to tip the drinks server at a buffet anyway.

What ages do the Americans count as children in relation to meals, on average that is?
We have under 5's, 10 & 13 year olds and adults. The 10 year old eats less than one of the under 5's and the 13 year old isn't a big eater either.
I'll get my monies worth...[:0]

You cant go wrong with Ponderosa. They are all over the place. You can fill your boots. They will be quite relaxed when it comes to kids, you dont have to worry !

Our children are 12, 6 and 3 - we all love Ponderosa, excellent value and choice. The 3 year old eats anything and the 12 year old is SOO picky, but we don't have any worries when we go to Ponderosa, we can usually satisfy all our requirements !

we liked ponderosa, but then found sizzlers was better, both were great for the kids
