Hi everyone,
Firstly apologies if this is posted in the wrong section on the forum and secondly hello to all members :).
Moving onto my questions, i'm thinking of booking up a holiday to Orlando next month for September as a surprise gift for my partner for her birthday, I have previously been before back in 2009 I believe, was amazing by the way! ;) , She has not been before, so regarding entering the country would we still need to fill out the cards on the plane upon arrival of the airport? Also could anybody recommend any holiday websites to book with? looking to stay in International Drive for the week, I've heard Jaws the ride is no longer around too?!, I could google it all but would rather have personal answers from people who have been before on numerous occasions, any information will be grateful :).

Firstly you don't fill out forms on the plane anymore. You need to apply for an ESTA is advance, think the cost is $14.
I don't think you will get much help with hotel recommendations from this site as it is primarily for villa owners - How about staying in a villa, Lots more space and the ability to cook your own meals if you want.
And yes Jaws is closed but you will find many new rides since 2009 including the Harry potter area at Universal
Hi & welcome. As has been said most of the people on this site either own or rent villas, however someone might be able to help you. Any other questions and we will be glad to try and answer..

Hi. Welcome to the forum. It's a great place to get information. Check out park tickets/car hire from the links above. We have stayed in fantastic villa's and fantastic hotel's for many, many years now. Don't limit your search!! Check out all the options (it's part of the fun). If you want to be "among the action" why not look at a hotel for a week, then move to a villa for a more relaxing second week. We don't do cooking at the villa's after all were on holiday;-);-) we just enjoy the extra space.
The options are endless. I would say compile a list of your "must do's" then work from there.
Yes Jaws has gone, we rode it back in January just before it closed. Very sad:-(
Most of all have fun organising your trip and your sure to have fun when you get there.

Have I understood you correctly in thinking you're thinking of going to Orlando for 1 week? Nothing wrong with that but it might be poor value because the flight costs the same however long you stay although of course your accommodation costs are going to be less. Bear in mind that the first and last days are really all about traveling.
A villa is going to be roughly the same as a decent hotel so worth considering but if you're in a hotel on International Drive you might get away with not having to rent a car. IMHO it would probably be more convenient in a hotel if it's just the week but any longer renting a home is the way to go. All things to think about in your planning!
If you really only have a week, I'd seriously consider going somewhere a bit nearer home or maybe postponing the trip altogether and going to Florida for longer at a later date.
Hi
Try some of the Charter company's for good flight deals into Sanford SFB and i would recommend you go for the 14 nights.
A villa is a MUST!!!

Mark.
