Hi, we are stopping in Windsor Hills next year. I was wondering are there any eateries pubs etc that you can walk to on an evening with the exception of the club house. Obviously we have hired a car but was wondering about going for eat and drinks without any one having to be a nominated driver. Thanks.
Hi Tony,
we have a home in Windsor Hills so we do know the surroundings, to be honest there isnt any places close enough to get to without a car, you can walk upto the 192 but there are major roadworks going on at the moment right outside the resort and I certainly wouldnt recommend walking along them.
We tend to drive upto the new Rolling Hills development on the 192 only 10 mins away where you have around 8 places to choose from plus there is a huge super target there as well so you can do a bit of shopping first then head to have something to eat.
you could always get a cab there from W/H which i would imagine would be very resonable.
cheers
rob
I think Rob mean the new Rolling Oaks Commons development, which is home to several restaurants and stores, rather than Rolling Hills development, which is housing community.
Sorry to butt in Rob!
To give you an idea of taxi costs, we had friends out last year who got a cab back from Formosa Gardens Village and Rolling Oaks Commons back to Indian Creek, which is roughly the same distance as Windsor Hills give or take a minute or two, and it cost them less than $10, so it's very reasonable if you want to leave the car for a change.
