Continental announced today;

Continental will add new daily nonstop flights beginning in May 2012 between Washington/Dulles and Manchester, U.K., and beginning in June 2012 between Washington/Dulles and Dublin, Ireland, subject to government approval

Although not directly Florida it gives another option for us from oop north

Always good to see new routes from regional airports. I doubt Continental fly direct from Washington to Orlando and they would have to codeshare with another airline so maybe it's not the best option from Manchester to Florida but good news just the same.

I think that Washington is underrated as a place to visit so this route would be good for a long weekend there.

It is because, United fly from Washington, and as United and Continental have merged, and now called United

Worth noting the risk of ending up on a converted 757 for 9 hours though.....less than ideal.
