Goodday,

We (2 adults+ 2 children - 18/15 yrs not too big:)) want to rent a SUV in Florida.
Our luggage will be 4 soft bags + handluggage. Maybe on our return with one soft bag extra:D

We are going to make a roundtrip of 10 days from Miami across Florida till Orlando.

Which SUV will be suites the best for us?
A Mid-size or a Standard size?

And what will be the best insurance? We are driving with two people.
Is it cheaper to pay the costs for the tank of fuel by collecting the car in Miami (Silver-inclusive) or take the Gold-inclusive option?
It's for ten days.

Many thanks for your tips/advice

Hello and welcome to this forum.

First, I highly recommend you rent your car through this website (Florida car Hire up this page). You'll have everything you need included and will get the best service.

Our family is the same size and we did a bit of driving around last year in Arizona. We had rented the mid-size SUV and when we got there the guy at the counter told us it might be a bit tight for what we intended, sent us take a look and since he offered a "cheap" upgrade (equivalent to the difference in price at the beginning, I had kept all the info) we decided to go for the standard size. We were so happy we did! The guy was right, and we were so much more comfortable, specially the kids. Next time we'll rent the standard size first, as we were very lucky to get a nice price on the upgrade, won't happen twice. That was with Alamo. We always rent with them as they let you pick your car and they're fair with fuel price.

And we were very impressed with their fast track system, you input all your details before you go, use the touchscreens on arrival to confirm and away you to collect your car, briiliant [clap]
