During an extended trip earlier this year, I hired two cars via Alamo. One a Jeep and another a Ford Fusion. Neither of these cars had cruise control. Is this is norm now? I really missed the facility as we were there for 3 months and covered significant distances. Has anyone else noticed this?
I am just about to book two intermediate cars, is it just Alamo where this is an issue???

I'd say in general most models from the Full size and over tend to have cruise control now. We went to do a tour of the Alamo depot in Orlando recently and got to have a close up look at all of their fleet. Some of the smaller cars also had Cruise. However, this is never guaranteed so it really depends if the manufacturers are putting them in the model provided at the time the fleet is renewed.

We have always had cruise control - and we like booking with Alamo as you can choose the car- My advise would be to look inside each car before you dive away. This way you can make sure the car you chose has all the gadgets !!- We can spend 10 mins chosing a car............ always fun in the car park!!! - The grimleys

Bill would never accept a car without cruise control. We always book with Alamo so that we can choose the car, however on our last 2 trips we have flown into Sanford and on both occasions the car was brought to us and we did not get the option to choose.
