Just noticed that BA are offering direct flights to Tampa for £462 in October and an outstanding £361 between November 2011 and March 2012. Miami is £392 between October and March.

Orlando flights are more expensive but still pretty good compared to what we've been suffering over the last few months.

Amazing prices. Never thought I would see them that low again.

That is more like it - wonder how long they will last?

I think you might have to be quick. It's pure coincidence that I looked this morning but there's very obviously a sale imminent. When that is announced (later today probably) I think these fares will be very popular.

Incidentally, the fare sale seems to be Worldwide if my random searches are anything to go by.

Thanks for the heads up unfortunately for us we are tied to dates in October and as usual airlines seem to think Scottish people have plenty of money! Never seem to get much of a bargain from Glasgow or Edinburgh!!! Here's hoping maybe the sale will through something up!

Is that just from London KG - or can people go from say Manchester for a little extra? Obviously not direct but via London!

Looking at BA's website it appears those fares are from London GTW. Slightly dearer if you start your trip from Manchester. Approx £55 more for example dates I looked at.

Just booked for January 2012, must admit thought all the good price tickets would have gone 5 days after the start of this thread. Some very odd fares, outward journey for us will be £188, the day before we travel £190 - can't imagine what BA will do with someone's extra £2.00!!

I also noticed that the return price can alter quite a bit when you click the outbound date, so if you are flexible, try a few dates for the best rates

Just booked Jan to March into Tampa £361 per person (out of this only £79 is the flight the rest are taxes so can't see prices ever going much lower than this) I have never flown into Tampa before but should be an easy drive along the I4. The sale ends July 12th.

For those who like it, there are also some good World Traveller Plus (BA's 'Premium Economy') fares in this offer. I'm looking at Tampa and upgrading to Club World with miles which is coming out at a very nice £870 and there's lots of availability. Out in Economy and back in Club is £581.

The lowest paid Club fare on my dates is £2154.

(Just to add - if anybody taking up this offer isn't already a member of BA's Executive Club they should seriously considering joining and having these miles credited to their account. It's free to sign up and the miles come in very handy)

Just had an email from BA to say they are extending the date of their sale to 19th July.

We have just booked with BA for March £362 from London to Tampa. Good price when you compare it to the other airlines, and it includes 23kg luggage, meals and bar service.. I'm happy.

You hand luggage can also weigh 23kg - as long as it is the right size and you can lift it into the overhead locker[msnoo]

I often wonder what you can put in hand luggage(and needed on holiday) that would weigh over 50 pounds!!

One big advantage over Virgin's stingy 6kg hand luggage allowance. Means we can easily fly on hand luggage only as we are able to lift our cabin cases into the overheads so no hanging around waiting for luggage after the queue for immigration.

Looking for flights for November from Manchester to Orlando. Thought we might have to return to stopover flights that we used to use as they were cheaper. (One of the luxuries of retiring from teaching is not having to go in school hols and we have flown direct ever since!)
BA seemed a pretting good bet, even tho we would have to change (£472), but when i looked closer they were changing in the US and in London. Landing at Gatwick and needing to transfer to Heathrow (at extra expense) for flight to Manchester.
Just gone back to Virgin and for an extra £20 each are flying direct! Booked and sorted.!!

More to the that it is up to 23kg, some airlines a re limited to much less. Also if there any musos out there, there is somewhere a clause that musicians are allowed to carry one instrument as hand luggage, providing it fits in the overhead lockers. Having had priceless guitars ruined this is a godsend and I wish I had known earlier.

Just a reminder that this sale is due to end on Tuesday and as it's been extended once already another seems unlikely. Same goes for the American Airlines sale.
