View Full Version : When to book flights?
I was looking yesterday to try to book for end of June next year and couldn't get prices- when are flights likely to be released? Any recommendations for flight search engines? Thinking of flying into Tampa next year to try and get cheaper flights.

Chartered flydrive holidays are available now. but scheduled flights do not release their dates for 340 days prior to departure.
Do you know who some of the chartered companies would be?

Still a little early for June 2012 flights. if you're looking for a direct flight into Tampa then I think only BA offer that (from Gatwick).

One thing to look out for it, it is cheaper to fly mid week with scheduled flights. Also in June they have moved the spring bank holiday to June and we have another public holiday to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee, that could be a factor.
Looking to go around 2nd July from Glasgow- my cousins birthday is 13th July so want to be away for her birthday.

It will more than likely be end of september before you start to see anything. As it is will dependent on your arrival back dates, so if it will be approx 15th July. Most of the chartered airlines will be selling the holidays way before the flight only option.
Your dates are in the school holidays, so as always, are more expensive.
Yeah- we don't want to take Lucy out of school next year plus my cousin also has two kids so she feels the same. Still only the scottish holidays will have started then I think the English ones start on 19th July don't suppose that makes any difference to prices though as soon as you hit the June they seem to go up.
