These alone were worth the price of the holiday.

Mick, my son was just 5 on his first trip to Orlando and he still has vivid memories of specific events (like riding Dumbo and Peter Pan's flight for the first time), and he is 13 now!! Your kids may still remember their experience at Discovery Cove when they are that old or older. Lovely photos.

We visited DC in Oct 03 and have all our photo`s dotted around the house what a great experience, it was for all of us, although I nearly crushed a poor man when a giant ray swam within inches of me. As I scrambled out of the water with my face mask half full with water and snorkel upside down I could hear hubbie and kids roaring with laughter. If that man is out there I would like to appologise now for that accurate but accidental kung-fu style kick!!! [:I][:o)]

Oh dear! That sounds like a situation I'd be likely to get myself into Kym!

I always plan to do this when I go there, but I always seem to find other ways of spending my money!

Excellent photos, we swam with dolphins in Mexico a few years back and it was a truly wonderful experience. It would be great to do this again.

Mick, I agree with you, it was worth the money just for these great pics. The kids really looked as if they enjoyed the experience. The dolphins look so cute and friendly.

Your pictures make me want to visit Discovery Cove.

The people at DC asked if they could use the picture of my lad in some advertising, never heard anything off them but the thought was nice.
If you look at the photo his nose is really scrunched up, the word proud comes to mind. [msnsmile]

Those are truly wonderful pics Mich-H and I would think it would be an experience that you'll all remember for some time.

Were those pics taken yourselves of by someone working for DC? If so can I be cheeky and ask how much they were. We are going in March and would love some photos like that to bring back!

They were taken by staff at DC, I'm sorry but I can't remember the price.

Discovery Cove is top of our list for our next visit.

We were just there about 2 weeks ago. Can't remember the exact price but they have lots of options like keyrings and so forth. As you might expect the prices are not cheap as such. Our method was to get the basic 7"x5" of any good ones (maybe about $20?), then scan them in at home at a good res - 400dpi - and then get as many prints as we wanted done from a service like photobox. Mugs, t-shirts, A3 prints, whatever. Sorted.

We went to DC when we were on our honeymoon in 2000 .. swimming/playing with the dolphins was fantastic.
We were in Florida for 3 weeks and had fantastic weather for 20 out of the 21 days ... the only day it really pi**ed down was when we went to DC, [msnsad]
but even that didn't spoil the day [msnsmile2]
Expensive day but something that really has to be done.
Great pics ... they made me look through our photo album ...again and again

[msnsmile2]

Alex, Dorota & kids ..we're off to Orlando on Monday for 3 weeks [msnsmile2][msnsmile2][msnsmile2][msnsmile2]

Fantastic photos. We haven't done DC yet-maybe it's given me an idea for hubby's 50th this year.

Lovely photos, our son swam with the dolphins at Key Largo but these pictures make us want to go and give the DC dolphin encounter a go.:)

The photo's are lovely! We always spend too much money on these, usually around $200 for some super-duper-mega package!! We say we won't do it, but then we do. The photo's are always so great, and the kids always look so different from the last visit...

hi Mick-H, If I was undecided about going to DC those pictures have made my mind up, they are very lucky kids and will remember that forever. Mine will be 12 and 5 when we go in October, how far in advance do you have to book.

oops just noticed the date of the posting probably talking to myself,
see did it again

benfilo......... best info I can give is book ASAP, Discovery Cove get very busy, not 100% sure without looking it up but I think kids have to be 6 or over to swim with the dolphins.

Oh no!

There I was, determined not to get ripped off paying a fortune for a few DC photo's in July and then I look at these - my kids would never forgive me if I didn't get similar pics of them... oh my poor aching wallet... [msncry][msnembarrased]

Mick - your photos are amazing, especially the first one that has just caught the moment perfectly. I wouldn't be at all surprised if you were approached to release this for use in DC's advertising and promo materials.

If one ever needed a reason to go visit Discovery Cove they need only look here.

Steve.
