Are there certain areas on the forum that I can't get access to?
I have signed in and it had been accepted....but there are areas I have been refused entry to.

Hi Calpie
There are 3 areas of the forums that only villa owners who advertise on www.orlandovillas.com are allowed access to. All the other areas are available to all users.
If you think you should have access to the owners areas, email me with your OV villa reference number and forum username and I'll add you to the list of those allowed access.

What a pity I thought this was an "open forum" but never mind I'll just keep reading.

It is an open forum - the villa owners area is probably not very interesting to anyone who does not own a villa anyway. All the other forums are available to anyone.

Calpie - keep reading. If you're going on vacation to Orlando you'll find lots of helpful info and tips to get the best out of your time there. Anything about a vacation in Orlando you can't find on here just post a question on the open forum and you can be sure someone will be able to give you advice.
Enjoy the forum and your vacation.
HELP....I know I'm a bit dim and I put it all down to my age...
But I can't get into "Bookings" or When nest in Florida" but can get into "Owners chat"
I must be doing something wrong!
And yes I have two villas on the web site.

Hi Domainpick
Mr Orlando-Guide.info here (I've been called quite a few things in my time, but never that <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>)!
The villa owners area as you say is only for people who advertise their villa on our Orlando Villas website. That being said, you are very welcome on here and if you do buy a villa, we'd be delighted if you join Orlando Villas!
You can, however, ask any questions about villa ownership in our 'Ask The Experts' section (a few people have already asked this kind of question there).
I would also recommmend you have a good look at www.top-forums.com as that is an open villa owners forum (although I notice they too are about to introduce a private members area like us).
Hope this is of help.

Hi Domainpick
Everyone is welcome on here - the only problem is if you buy a 4 bed villa as all the villa owner slots for those are full. It's so that any potential guests don't get too overwhelmed by choice.
If you go on to ask the experts section you'll find lots of hints about buying property and can ask whatever questions you like.
I think you'll find we all agree that if you dont have a burning desire to buy new then a good resale can be got at a very decent price. Here I'm speaking as someone who bought a 4 bed 3 year old resale for $20000 less than the home I'd set my heart on in Flirida Pines!

hello john and sarah

so i still cant talk to anyone then... i have questions like .... what happens if someone breaks your appliances..who sorts them out ..do you have a management company who is the best???

Sorry domainpick, he's not the honey monster he's the wrong colour!
You've obviously not seen Monsters Inc,its a brilliant film. He's Sulley who goes round scaring people but can be cuddly with it. Just like me!
Just a reminder - go onto 'Ask the Experts' and ask away. If John or Roger feel any questions or comments are outside the realm of open forum eg could be damning on MCs,they will delete the message. You can always private message people if you feel they would know what you were after.

we have a villa at Rolling Hills which we have owned for nearly 3 years from new.
I will be happy to answer any questions you like, just pm or e-mail me, as some of them may not be best served on a public forum!
Otherwise, as John says, try the other forum which is mainly for home-owners.

Hi Domainpick
Where abouts in Davenport are you looking to buy, there are so many developments there. Our place in is in Hampton Lakes. We've had it now for about 20 months. Like a lot of the others we've picked up lots of valuable information on do and donts through this and top-forums.
Things like appliance breakdown etc and emergency call out should be dealt with by your management company. When you've decided where you are buying I'm sure you'll get lots of helpful info on which companies perform the best.
Babblin Boo
Hi Ste(ph)ve and everyone else from Top-Forum!
Yes it's me all the way from Hampton Lakes. You knew I'd find where the party was.
For appliance breakdowns you really need a maintenance contract with GE or someone. Then your Management Co. just call them out to repair any of your major appliances. ....but you still need someone over there to make that call.

We're not that familiar with that end of the 192 as our villa is at Crescent Lakes in Kissimmee. quite a few other owners on here are out that way and should be able to help.
