golf near emerald island

My son who is 15 and plays regularly but does not have a handicap cert wonders if he can play whilst in Florida. We are staying at emerald island. Last year in portugal he could not play because only golfers who can show a cert can play.

Your son should not worry - we never got asked for a handicap cert wehn we played at Highlands Reserve GC in March. I believe (but will stand corrected if wrong) that the GC in the area do not ask for evidence of a handicap cert, but merely insist that you abide by the dress codes/rules and regs/etiquette etc......hope he enjoys himself - I know we did!

I'll second that. I've played around 10 different courses in both the Kissimmee area and in Orlando itself. Never been asked for a handicap cert yet which is probably just as well!!
