View Full Version : Cant book 8 Seater SUV or Minivan Via Alamo
Hi Guys,
I don't seem to be able to book an 8 seater SUV or an 8 seater minivan via any of the car hire companies main websites? I can get them via third party reseller websites but not direct? Is this just the case, has anyone managed to do this?

Most suppliers are now sold out. As of now, we can still get the 8 seater minivans via Alamo. We have the highest level of allocation so can often supply even when Alamo themselves stop offering them, and well after many other suppliers can no longer offer them.

I did check out uscarhire.co.uk but it seemed a little expensive for the 8 seater SUV compared to a few other 3rd party resellers. That said if you have stock and more than others I suppose you can dictate price based on guaranteed availability etc.

Our 8 seater SUV is a higher spec than say the 8 seater SUV that Budget offer on some other sites (which also is not usually available for you by the time you arrive, then you are faced with a smaller 7 or 5 seater). We used to offer these cheaper 8 seater SUV's but stopped doing so as it reflected badly on us as the supplier when customers arrived to find they don't have the car they booked.
