Can anyone advise- when you are completing the Alamo save time forms online- it ask for drivers licence exp date- is this the expiry date on the paperpart of your licence or the photo part?

You can use either. As far as I know the 'real' expiry date is that on the paper part. The other is just the expiry of the photo part. The rental companies usually only ask for the photo part anyhow so if you use that date then it will also be OK.

hi roger,
i'm due to pick up a 15 seater in june at mco.(1st time at mco) i'm the lead named driver,1 of 4. On the save time form i've been reading about here, is it necessary to have/produce,or document, the paperpart of the license for all 4, both online and at mco. Its just that one of the drivers has lost his paperpart. also has anyone used this system recently,is it a case of joining the main queue,or is there an alternative arrangement?
many thanks in advance.

Each driver has to show their license (not just the lead driver). Strictly speaking the paper part and photo part together make the actual license. 99% of the time you will not be asked for the paper part, but if you are asked for it and do not have it then that person may not be allowed to drive. It's worth trying to get a replacement if time allows, but may not be an issue if it doesn't come through in time.

We are hiring from this site with Alamo and I was wondering if we could use the Alamo Save Time. There will be 3 drivers and I was wondering if this would mean we wouldn't need to go to the car hire desk as last time the queue was unbearable.[msnsad]

Would I need to wait until I've paid the balance of the carhire to sign up?

Many thanks

Louise

Yes, you can sign up for Save Time. You will need to wait until you have your voucher.

Thanks Roger. So does it mean we can bypass the desk and go straight outside?

thanks again

Louise

You can use the electronic kiosks by the desk thus avoiding any lines.

Hi Roger

Is there a kiosk at Sanford - and can you select the toll pass option at the kiosk?

Yes, there is a kiosk at Sanford.

With Alamo you do not need to choose the toll pass when you collect the car. If you want to use it, simply drive through one of the toll pass lanes which will activate it for that day. For each day you drive through a toll, you will be charged $2 for the day, plus the cost of each toll.

Hi Roger,

Do you know if this service is available at Tampa too? If so, do we go straight to the garage?

Thanks

Sean

Hi Roger

You replied

"You can use the electronic kiosks by the desk thus avoiding any lines."

Is this something new as we went last year in October and did not see any Kiosks.

We have booked again this year and have just recieved our voucher. So if we register on the Alamo Save Time site can we use the kiosks? and how do they work?

Thanks

Graham
