View Full Version : Sanford
I have booked my car hire through this site for the past 2 years with wonderfull service but this time I am flying into Sanford.
The hire site does not appear to offer car hire from Sanford, is it possible to book from Sanford?
I also seem to remember a thread that suggested specials such as Navigator or Escalades could be selected. Is this the case or am I dreaming it?

We offer car hire from Sanford via this site. It's one of our most popular locations.
Cheers for that. I just realised I was selecting a Lux 7seat SUV and was only offered MCO or MIA but choosing a std 7 seat SUV opened up Sanford as an option.
So I assume it's just a few of the special vehicles not available

Ah, that makes sense. Yes, some speciality vehicles are only available from certain locations but the vast majority are available at all locations, including Sanford.
It's been a while since I have flown into Sanford, could anyone tell me if Alamo collection is on airport and do they let you pick your car as they do in MCO and MIA?
All I can remember when I was there last time was the Dollar desks
Yes, Alamo are on airport at Sanford. This is also an Alamo 'Choice' location where you can select the car you like from the parking lot.
Thank you Roger. I will be booking in the next couple of days. Probably a 7 seat SUV (Chevy Tahoe type}, are these in good supply at Sanford.
We've not had any availability problems so far this year with these so I'm sure you will be fine.

So do you have to make a special booking to 'choose' your vehicles from this parking lot?
No, this is a standard feature with Alamo at select locations.

Roger, Have tried to book car hire this afternoon from Sanford.
Price came up at 508 with Alamo for a 7 seat SUV but by the time I got to payment details it said £0. Have booked with this site before but I can't recall this happening.
Is this normal??
Bye the way I am quite happy to pay the £0 :>)

Sorry about that. It should be back to normal now. I was just in the middle of a small code update.

Thanks for the help, All booked now[msnsmile2]
Just got back, having flown into Sanford for the 1st time in years. We had booked a 2 door economy as we were trying to keep the trip as cheap as possible and were not going to be going far, they gave us a 7 seater mini van at no extra charge, they seem to have lots and lots of mini vans. It worked out really well for us as after we closed on our villa we were able to go to Ikea and buy lots of stuff[msnsmile2]
