December flight Prices

Hi All

I am planning a trip in december [xmas1] and i am wondering (as i have never flown in december) what sort of prices and airlines any of you have flown direct in december 2010,(manchester or london to orlando) I realise the prices will be somewhat higher due to tax etc i am just after a guide to arrange budgets, I am looking at the first week in december. Virgin are quoting £485 this morning how does that fair with what you have paid last year and or this year.

£485 seems like a reasonable fare to me given the way they've risen so rapidly over the past 12 months or so. As you'll probably already know, those fares will rocket if you fly after the middle of December because of Christmas.

We fly out mid December 2011 return early January 2012.

I got flights with US Airways via Philadelphia for £2100 inc taxes for 4 of us.

Happy with that as our flights for August 2011 were £2700
