with all these countdowns and everybody knowing when everybody else is going do any of you ever meet up? either by accident or planned?
I accidentally met up with Pluto (Karen) from the forum at Discovery Cove when we were there in 2009. She recognised my surname on the football shirt my son was wearing when we checked in and it turned out her and her family were sat on the sun loungers next to us after our dolphin swim.
Also on the same trip we were at Busch Gardens and we bumped into an old friend and her family that we hadn't seen for a long time (doesn't belong to this forum though). A very small world ....

I've met my neighbours who stay 3 doors away in the middle of Walmart - neither of us knew the other was going - as we go quite often and their's was a last minute decision and we had already been there for 4 weeks!

we met up with Lynne Shaw, as i had the same avatar here the joke was i would have to wear a hat so she would know who i was... so i did... not sure where the picture is of the 2 of us and her best friend whom i had also spoken with on here, also met up with Southsider (Tricia)
on another forum i met up with a friends daughter who had brought us an anniversary card last year, love it!
We meet up with other forum members on virtually every trip. Usually planned in advance.
We have been fortunate enough to meet many lovely people who we now count as our friends [msnsmile][msnwink] and meeting up with them is a big part of our Florida holidays.

Not forum related, but on my last trip i bumped into one of my class (im a primary school teacher) in Aquatica whilst bikino clad and soaked to the skin - needless to say i was super embarassed!

We meet up with Katies Grandad on our last trip, he gave us excellent advice when we were planning a trip to Sanibel Island. We ended up in the appartment above him and his wife. We only manged a few hours together but it was very plesant company. [msnsmile2]

It certainly was Diane - let's hope it's not the last time we do it.
I daresay we've been on many flights with other forum members, or stayed in villas beside each other without knowing it. But we've certainly bumped into plenty of people we know whilst on holiday. Two of my four kids have bumped into classmates in the parks more than once, and we discovered that not only had one of my daughter's classmates stayed in the same villa as us in Orlando, but had also stayed in the same villa as us in Captiva as well. We're off to New York and Cape Cod for a week on 16 April, followed by a week in Captiva again. Hello to anyone going at the same time!

We're going from Glasgow on 28/5 so will be there while you are.
I have played golf with forum members both times. Had a great morning with Parrey (Peter) last year and this year i am playing with murph at Diamondback in a few weeks from now.
We fly out this coming Sunday from Manchester.
Perhaps whilst out in Florida we should all wear OV badges then would spot other forum members whilst out and about. I met up with Zena 'Bargainqueen' on my recent visit and spent an evening together, we also went to Bok Tower, it is nice to put a face to name.
what a fab idea!, [clap] we could make one from the logo at the top of this page, hang it on your bag when out and about and wait.....................and see!!!!! oh dear ! [stupid1] is this sad [msnsad] perhaps i don't get out enough [laugh]

I used to..but many people have now sold up..I don't get much time to visit in FL anymore for some reason..even my neighbour moans that I never have time for a coffee..we have friends from MA who winter in FL and want us to visit..and family visit from the UK..I have seen people at the airport from the UK with paperwork with OV on it..the same in Denny's once..I don't know why it feels odd to ask them about it..I talk to strangers all the time..[:I]
