just had our European trip... staying a night in each city.. it was amazing went to the black forrest, stelvio pass, grossglockner
we could decorate our cars which had to cost £300 or less.. we chose 'scoobydoo' theme, called ourselves 'team diesel' in memory of our great dane called diesel who died in january this year,we raised a little money in his memory for the ' greatdane adoption society '
we had great fun and met some lovely people along the way...
now looking forward to Florida!![beer]

We are here at the moment (one week at the villa then this week at Fort Myers) we go home on Tuesdays (sadly), Next trip is 229 days away-way too long.

That is an awesome number to be taking on holiday. I think it would drive me insane; but at the same time, what a great opportunity and what a great experience for all of you. £600 per head sounds ridiculously cheap. We haven't managed to get less than £800 per head for years now.

we went in october Tonish and have been before and were cheaper then... but we dont mind so much it was a treat from my late fathers inheritance so we took them all and had the best time ever sharing one house! absolutely fabulous (just one cross word/arguement) but havent lived with these kids for many years so of course i still went in 'mummy' mode.. and they are certainly not babies anymore but it was great,
£468 flights this year we are delighted with them, Virgin. just dont like mco... :(

Just booked 2 reward seats on Virgin during their reward seat sale with comlimentary upgrade to PE. Paid £377 each in taxes for the "free" flights! Going out November 3rd back on December 20th........ starting to count the days!
15 Days and coming up fast now. Two weeks today we go to Gatwick, better start thinking about getting out the cases.

Yes I can Skype the kids & grandkids but it is not the same as being with them. We own our villa and are both retired so that is why we can go for 9 weeks, fully recommend it it's great.
1 week today and we should have about 3hours flying time to go :D

Lyn u are soooooo lucky..would love to go over for more then 2 weeks at a time, we have done 3 weeks before and would love to do again... just bought our house here in the UK did wonder about buying a holiday home but thought it was a better idea to buy the home we have lived in for 28 years so inheritance paid for it... and now just look forward to florida... i need a florida fix!!

15 days to go.. cant tell you badly we need to getaway.. we had to put our 4 year old great dane put to sleep yesterday after being poorly and getting worse by the day 14 days... poor love x.. the vets couldnt find what the cause of her illness was... we had no choice she was so ill... need some healing sun-warmth from our 1051favourite place we also lost our other great dane in january this year to.. he was just 6 years1052

Flight took a very long time today - just over 9 hours! We took the scenic route to try to avoid severe turbulence so we ended up flying north of Toronto then round the west side, then headed south flying over the Great Lakes. Thought we were never going to get here!

It's funny to me. I moved to Florida from Virginia about four years ago. When the temperature down here drops into the low 70's, they say a cold front is coming. Say what??? Up in Virginia, a cold front meant low 30's. I say bring on the low 70's!!! If I can still wear shorts, there is no cold front!
