View Full Version : Florida 's Schools Spring Break
Hi Everyone,
We are ready to book our flights for our 6th Annual trip to Florida 2011. We want to go a little later this year to try to have warmer temperatures then the last previous year. But we do not want to get caught into Florida's High School's Spring Break. Does anyone know?
I looked on line and the Internet is telling me they are debating the dates because Easter is Later this Year.
University of Miami is 12th to 20th March whereas University of North Carolina is the week before - university spring breaks tend to cover a 3 week period.

Polk County schools have spring break the week of the 14th - 18th March and the weekends either side of these dates.
Osceola and Lake County schools have spring break the week of the 21st - 25th March and the weekends either side of these dates.
Orange county schools have spring break the week of the 28th March - 1st April and the weekends either side of these dates.
One thing is, it's not so much the locals on Spring Break that make it busy, but the rest of the USA. Most locals typically go off peak if they have annual passes. Across the USA Spring Break varies a lot.

I have found a good deal on Flights and will be booking tomorrow. Looks like it will be Friday April 1 2011 to April 15th. Count Down will be on again and will be looking for a house in Davenport with 7 bedrooms since we have a couple of families coming with us. Caroline i wish your house was bigger we really enjoyed that spot.
Gosh- you have GOT to play an April Fools joke on the family, if its a morning flight!! :) Feel excited for you- a great time to go, all the flowers out- I always notice the lovely pink and white flowering bushes on the state roads and interstates - they welcome me to the sunshine nicely at Easter time :DAwh wish I was there now..........and then........and always!!
