Melanie
For New Year I think it's difficult to beat the town of Celebration. They usually put on a fantastic evening. Many people take their cooker boxes and set up tables for the evening but there are many food stalls and entertainment with concerts throughout the evening and then at midnight a firweork display that rivals any we've seen at Disney. Last year they dropped the concerts and fireworks (guess it was money) but they have reinstated it all this year by popular demand. Best of all it's free (even parking) so if the weather changes and you go home early then it hasnt cost you anything. There's loads of activities for children. Ice skating etc.

Okay For christmas -order your Christmas dinner from the Deli in PUblix- easy and good quality
Mickeys very Merry Christmas Party is good, if it is still on, and Epcots processional is lovely. Have a drive around some of the Estates- especially Celebration, to look at their Christmas decorations- they go to such a great deal of trouble- amazing.
Take a fleece jacket to go with the shorts- you will get some cold and some boiling hot days.
Go everywhere to see the decorations, and enjoy it all!!
[Disney on Xmas day, not so good- it is usually filled to capacity]

I'm kinda strugglin with the packing due to weight restrictions etc and just not quite knowing what to pack! Although advice about weather from you good folks is helping me decide!!
