Hi
I have noticed that people have not picked their hire car up from virgin and hired one through a different company. why is that? Isn't that a more expensive way to do it?
thanks

The hire car virgin gives you does not includ any unsurances and they only give you it free for 1 week. It is generally cheaper to not pick it up (dont pay any extras in advance) and book one through the car hire link at the top of this page

We had the chance to compare in Vegas last year. I forfeited my 'free' car and booked on here, couple who we went with took the 'free' car.

'Free' Car ended up being a 2 door compact @ $238 for all insurances
I booked a Luxury (Chrysler 300) @ £194 fully inclusive

So no, not cheaper but we got a car 10 times better and every possible insurance for an extra £40 ish.

We used Virgin fly/drive last time we went to Fl. The car was a 7 seater Dodge Grand Caravan and it came with gold insurance and the initial tank of fuel (we had to take the car back empty) and we had the car for two weeks, we weren't offered any extras and didn't pay for any hidden extras either. At the time it worked out cheaper to do it that way for us. Would do it that way again if it still worked out cheaper. We have used US Car Hire before and would also use them again.
