Hello

I'm looking to come out to Orlando next xmas. We have been quoted £749 per person with virgin fly and drive. Having never been before I have nothing to compare it to. Is this expensive? should I wait a bit longer? am going with my parents who only want a direct flight as they think a change would stress them. Any advice please.
thanks

Never been at Xmas time but this summer flights were well over £800pp so that looks a good price to me.

A good price for Christmas flights. Watch out for the extras on the **FREE** car. Its probably cheaper not to pick up their car and get one from the link on this forum

[/quote]I would also look at the prices a couple of days either way. Coming up to Christmas, flying say the 15th instead of 16th might save some cash as well as checking departure dates. With reference to a change, we have always flown non-stop (mainly Virgin) apart from last Christmas Day (cheapest date to fly at Christmas). We flew Delta from Manchester to Atlanta and on to Orlando. Nice and easy, and although it does take longer, we found the service with Delta and the stop-over quite relaxing.

I think you could be better booking the flights and the car seperately, flights however will not be released until 11months before so not untill the new year. There is no guarantee they will be cheaper but you could look at the costs of both for this year, it may give you an indication of the differance. We always use this site to book our car, it is an excellant price with excellant service.

If you have been quoted £749 for a fly drive I would jump at it. May be worth not collecting their car and hiring from this site as suggested, but £749 seems to be a great price for Xmas.

It depends what dates. If you can fly before about 15th December the prices are cheaper.

I would suggest you book early. Been going orlando at xmas for a while and due to the lateness of booking for this year have force me to go indirect, because a family of 6, $ being adults prices, the amount i save on going direct will buy all our park tickets. Like others say do play about with the dates as it does make a difference. For instance we are going indirect with delta to atlanta, flying out on the 20 december, initially we wanted to go on the 22 but there was a difference of almost £100 on the differing dates.

In saying so a friend of mine in 2008, had left it last minute, literally 3 days before and got a virgin flight for next to nothing but is that a risk you want to take, leaving it so late.
