Can't speak for everyone but I do and will be surprised if most don't do the same.

Most owners will accept bookings to and from any day of the week. Owners will often add a cleaninf fee for stays of under one week and I have a minimum number of nights for pool heat. there are some owners who only rent Saturday - Saturday during peak seasons, but I think you will find most are flexible.

We certainly do, and most other owners will as well.

With the airlines loading the cost of weekend flights we have to be flexible.

Elaine, I think the only deciding factor in most villa owners accepting a mid-week booking is if they don't have those particular days available.

Have fun choosing your villa and then see if it is available for your chosen dates. I think you will find something you like which is also able to accommodate your mid-week booking.

Good luck![msnwink]

If that's what our potential guest requires, we are happy to accept arrivals any day of the week.

We also take bookings any day of the week. It is amazing how it usually pans out! They all seem to slot in usually.

As others have said most owners are flexible as they too like to avail of the mid week fares if they can.

We take bookings any day of the week and it can 7, 8, 9, 10 nights etc., does not have to be multiple of 7 nights.

Our minimum is 3 nights.

It probably varies from owner to owner Elaine. It seems most owners do accept bookings any day of the week. I do most of the time, but July and August I only take Saturday bookings for 7/14 day durations.

We take bookings any day of the week. More and more guests realise flights are usually cheaper in the week. [msnsmile2]

That is the benefit of booking with an owner rather than a package tour company, as like most owners we are very happy to accommodate our guest on whichever day they want to arrive.

Hi Elaine

Like many other owners on here, we will work together with our guests to mutual convenience and are more than happy to take mid week to mid week bookings and also bookings of any length over 3 days.

We have never had a problem booking any day of the week and also have stayed for 16 nights before as well making our departure and arrival days different days of the week This too wasn't a problem

We have rented many villas with midweek arrival dates and had no problems. Most owners are flexible. One thing we now do is to book the villa for an extra day at the end of our holiday, so for a 3 week holiday, we book 22 days. so, instead of leaving the villa at 10:30, we can stay until we need to go to the airport, enjoying the pool, eating the remaining food and doing last minute shopping without carrying our luggage around with us. We can also do the packing in the afternoon, when we have finished with everything. A more leisurely end to the holiday.

Not at all - we do it for selfish reasons. Besides having a leisurely last day, we can shower and change before going to the airport, so we are not covered in lotion etc. Obviously the MC also benefit because before we leave, all of the washing is done and dried and the place left in a clean and tidy state. When the cleaners arrive next morning, they just need to check everything is ready for the next guests.

Villa owners HAVE to take bookings for any day of the week, reason: they have to take any booking they can get hold of right now, if they don't, just move on and find someone that will!

I don't think this is the case at all. We have been booking private villas for many years now, in good times too and have always found villa owners to be very accomodating. This is one of the benefits of booking with people rather than companies. I'm not a villa owner just someone who appreciates the homes (and they are homes) that I have been able to stay in.

We too take bookings on any day and also that allows us to take shorter bookings. Many US guests take shorter breaks and if we have small gaps we often fit those guests into our availability. Also it allows us to schedule upgrades or deliveries. We repainted in April and a gap of 4 days allowed us to do this without any inconvenience to our guests.

Yes, I agree with Sandra [msnsmile]you sound like the perfect guest Scorpio!

We also accept arrival and departure for any day of the week, as many owners do. Also find that by being flexible on arrival and departure days it gives guests more flexibility for their travel dates.
