hi all,
we are in the middle of booking for june next year,as part of the package,we have been informed our 6 bed villa is in the "disney area homes" when i enquired as to the exact community,i was told it was "allocation on arrival".my fear is that we could end up far from anywhere. has anyone else been through this process,or are all the villas within shopping/restaurant reach.
many thanks

when you say you are in the 'middle' of booking, have you 'booked'? have you been to orlando before? you have come to the right place to ask questions, you will get all the info you will need right here[clap] we always book a villa through here, get to know the owner and find out exactly where it is, our hugh fear is not where it is but if the pool area is overlooked by lots of other villas![msncry] it can be so close its like sharing your villa pool with 10 other families[msneek] good luck, we are also booked for june!

My Sister in law booked a disney area home and was near us on the 27 at Highgate at Legacy Park.

She had asked to be near us on the 27 if possible though.

I see nothing wrong with booking thru a tour operator if you like the element of surprice, personally I am more of a control freak and want to know exactly where I am going and what to expect. I dont want my holiday ruined by being too far out or overlooked on the pool deck by at least 5 other homes I like to know and research the area - find out what restaurants are near, view the webs site of the home etc and all villas offered on this site do that.

If your not comfortable booking, your apprehension will just grow as you get nearer the departure so much better to relax and look forward to your vacation.

I'm with you Violet, like to know where we are staying. On our first trip in 93 we had a hote'allocated on arrival' thought it wuld not matter ss we did not know the area so one would be as good as another, wrong, we we allocated a hotel in Altomonte Springs, which is 25 miles away. My sister booked a Disney Villa allocated on arrival and was way way down Poincianna, to far to go back for an afternoon swim. Much better to know where you are staying.

thank you all for the replies,
i did look at this site and was impressed at the quality/location on offer. my problem is, as we are booking as a package, theirs comes as part of that. i will speak to them again and maybe book the flights, villa and car hire seperately as we also need a 12/15 seaterminivan. i did log a quote to this site for a package price last week but heard nothing back.
many thanks.
