Has anyone tried Bahama Breeze. Is it worth a visit with a vegetarian and children. :-)

It's definitely worth a visit, they have a fantastic menu, although I'm not sure there are many vegetarian dishes. There are plenty of seafood dishes and I'm sure they can adapt most of the dishes. We went there twice on our last visit and I'm sure we'll go back again next year. The warmed spinach dip & island chips appetizer is to die for [msntongue]
The kids menu isn't great but an appetizer would be more than enough for a child as a main meal.

Highly recommend.
You could try the flat bread with tomato which is one of their starters as a main for the kids.
It is really good.
Love it, a definite must for us ! THe Coconut martini is pretty good, and the menu's are excellent. THere are some good pasta dishes -I am sure the menu will be online if you search.

Oh I can taste it now[msntongue][msntongue]
You can check out the menu online and see if anything takes your fancy![msnsmile]
We often take a trip in the evening to Bahama Breeze, sit outside and listen to the music and sometimes we just have a couple of starters instead of a whole main course. Cuban bread we just love with the garlic, basil, tomatoes and cheese, just delicious.
I have even been on their website and tried to make the bread over here, not bad but not just quite the same.

We're all vegetarians and love Bahama Breeze. The Cuban Bread is to die for [msnsmile].
We tend to order a few starters and then just share them between us.

Bahama Breeze is one of our favourite restaurants - looking at their menu online it looks like they have added a couple of new dishes.
On one holdiay my husband decided he was going to have soup (as his starter) at each restaurant we went to and Bahama Breeze won, with his best soup award!!
Have always found the service to be good and a great choice of cocktails.
Bahama Breeze has a new branch opening up on the US-192 West - on the Rolling Oaks complex, where Target is. Not sure when it's due to open, but the building is coming along quickly, so it should be within the next few months. A new Applebees will be right opposite too and a Millers Orlando Ale House opened there recently.
Another thumbs up for vegetarian options at Bahama Breeze. It has a good choice on the menu and another real bonus is a great atmosphere.

Which part of the 192 is this? Is this near Carrabas - at the entrance to Emerald Island etc? Wow Applebees and Bahama Breeze in the same place! :D[msntongue]

Not far from Carrabas just a lttle further. Past one set of lights travelling West then left at the next set.

As Angela mentions, it's not far from Carrabbas, in the Rolling Oaks Commons complex. If you come out of Carrabbas and turn left on the US-192, it is on the left, just past Olive Garden and Longhorne. Applebees is on the corner right opposite, in the Orange Lake Town Center complex and a there's a new Millers Orlando Ale House that opened up there a couple of months ago.
Another new one in that area is Wild Wings Cafe, which is on Formosa Gardens Blvd, next to Red Lobster. There's a lot happening there lately!

They have a great cocktail list as well
Last time we went a server who was walking past our table tripped up and bbq sauce got splashed over myself and 2 of our sons, it was in our hair and on our clothes, they gave us the whole meal free of charge and offered to pay to get our clothes cleaned.
I thought that was really good of them

Olive Graden, Longhorne, Bahama Breeze & Applebees all together! Plus Ale House across the way; why go anywhere else!!

Yes it's all happening, being an owner on EI Resort it's great for our guests. There was talk of a movie theatre too at one point. I think the new Harley Davidson shop just opened behind Taco Bell on the Formosa Plaza too.

Yes, the Harley shop is now open and looks quite busy each time we pass by. I haven't heard any updates on the cinema for a while, but I was told there is also plans for a Logans Roadhouse next to Applebees sometime later this year and Sweet Tomatoes is opening at one of the existing buildings in Rolling Oaks Commons.
We'll be spoilt for choice!

Applebee's must be opening soon - they now have their sign up and are advertising for staff! We were in Miller's Ale house last night - great meal and very reasonable too. Longhorns is good too but a bit more expensive. Bahama Breeze is still getting work done - but I would imagine it'll be open for Easter holidays. It's all looking good along at our end of the 192!

Is it right about Sweet Tomatoes opening? I heard a rumour at Christmas but didn't see any signs of activity. I LOVE Sweet Tomatoes. All my family enjoy going but it is also a place I am very comfortable eating alone.
I am also a huge fan of Bahama Breeze. The almond crusted tilapia is my favourite.

Snap Angela! I love the almond crusted tilapia too! We still haven't tried Sweet Tomatoes but it sounds like we should!

I was told recently that it is due to open in April in the restaurant space in the left block of buildings as you come out of Target. It was due to open in April but there are still no signs of activity or any boards advertising them.
I'll report back if I see anything happening there.

Yep, I have tried it. Don't bother going, restricted menu and no atmosphere. We are sticking to then one by OPO.

We went the other week, and we had a fab meal, defiinitely go again.
Was in there on Thursday and we had a great meal with very attentive service. The chef even came round and asked how we enjoyed our food. We all wished they were in the UK!! :)
Just an update. We ate at Bahama Breeze at Rolling Oaks a couple of nights ago and it was superb. The food was amazing, the cocktails delicious and the service was efficient and very friendly. It's much smaller than the other branches so doesn't have the ambiance of International Drive or Lake Buena Vista, but for a local eatery offering something completely different, it really was excellent. The live musician was on the terrace outside and inside it was busy enough to create a nice atmosphere without being a racket.
It's certainly on my list of local favorites now.

This is my favourite restaurant. The food is delicious and the atmosphere fabulous. I have always found the waiters/waitresses very attentive. It's not the cheapest place to eat but you do get what you pay for. A lunch time visit is very pleasant too
Dawn:)
