Hi everyone again.....
another question this time about baggage,

When we fly out to Florida we are going to take a case each (4 of us) and a carry on bag (cabin bag) but we are not going to have much in each of our cases (about 6-8kg with a 23kg limit)so working it out we were wondering if it were better to put 1 case in another and take 3 out with us instead of 4....would there be any problems with this with the airlines?...taking 3 out and bringing 4 back (going to buy new stuff over there..to fill case no 4).

Because we have most of our clothes in our owners cupboard we very often just take 1 bag for the 2 of us and put an empty bag inside that one, leaving us ample room to bring back any goodies we happen to buy while we are there.

I am sure you will be doing lots of shopping so I would take any empty one with you.

There should be no problem with what you are suggesting.

We always take one case inside another - however, weigh these before you start packing as you will find you will have 'used' a large portion of your allowance. Airlines will not be bothered in this system at all, nor US customs.

We often take one smaller suitcase inside another as it's easier on the way out and allows us to bring all those bargains home!

When allowed 2 cases each we always took 1 case with 1 inside, never had a problem. Only allowed 1 each now so with only the two of us with equal size cases will just take them half empty.
