Hi

we are spending some time in the Fort Myers area this summer (South Fort Myers) and just wanted to ask if anyone can suggest any 'must do's' or 'must sees' while we are there.

Thanks
Julie

have a look at:

Personally, I'd say Sanibel & Captiva are about the only 'musts'.

Fort Myers is a large sprawling city; Edison Ford Estate well worth a visit and the enormous Flea Market at 4135 Dr Martin Luther King Jnr Blvd. 8 - 4 Friday/Saturday/Sunday although it is at its best in the winter when all the stalls are open.

Edison Ford museum definately worth a visit.

Depending how much time you have, why not take the fast catamaran to Key West about 800am and return 6pm, catch the sunset from the deck.

Ding Darling on Sanibel is worth a visit if you like wildlife (birds, alligators, turtles etc.)

Sunsplash Waterpark is worth a visit if you are in the area. Its a bit like Disney waterparks only on a smaller scale [msnwink]
