Does anyone know what the types of birds that can be seen around Westhaven. Currently I'm looking at birds circling as if ready to swoop. Any ideas?
Cheers

It depends on the season but if you are lucky you may get red shouldered hawks , osprey, or even an eagle. Of course there will always be the turkey vultures and black vultures. Bird spotting is great at the roosts at Gartorland where you will see many types of birds. Walk round the lake at Celebration there is usually an osprey and red shouldered hawk there as well as all the many water birds.

There seems to be a lot more birds of prey in the US...we have a few Peregrine Falcon flying around our neighbourhood on Cape Cod in MA..we had a huge one in our pine tree earlier in the year...and one on the telephone pole last week..I've noticed a lot more singing birds too..when I first moved here I missed bird song in the day...but now its very noisy ..we also have a ton of butterflies.. lots of different colours..
