Hello Sages. We are trying to find the most cost effective flights for Aug 2011. Can it be cheaper to fly mid week and if so are any of you villa owners amenable to mid week bookings during high season.

I will take bookings commencing any day of the week, I know some other owners will and there are some that like to stick to Saturday - Saturday booking during peak week.
I know wiht the scheduled airlines like BA and Virgin that they do tend to add a weekend supplement Friday - Sunday, I am not sure about charter flights.
You will also find that many villa owners like myself do not insist on bookings being for whole weeks, as long as you stay for at least a week most will offer you a stay of any length you require.

Hi Darryl

Flight prices do vary and it can be better to fly midweek. Just keep checking the prices they can change on a day to day basis.

As for midweek bookings for the villa: we have no problems with this.

We also do anyday arrivals as we know that flights from the UK are so much cheaper during the week

We also do any day arrivals and flying midweek is cheaper as most Airlines charge a weekend supplement and flying indirect is also usually cheaper

We nearly always fly out on a Tuesday and back on a Thursday because of the cheaper flight prices, never had any problems booking villas for these days.

I think you will find most owners do mid week bookings for any amount of days you wish.

As an owner who often flies on a Wednesday as it is cheaper and fits in with others work schedules we also take bookings starting any day of the week.

We always fly mid week as its cheaper, and are more than happy for guests to do the same. I think you will find that the majority of owners do the same now as we try to move with the times.

We also accept anyday arrivals appreciating that weekend flights are more expensive.

I agree we take mid-week bookings and have always done so and I think you will find most owners will offer this.

We too take any day of the week bookings, and we fly ourselves midweek as it is cheaper.

After lots of research I ended up booking out on a Tues back on a Thurs as it worked out cheaper and had no probs getting the villa we liked for those dates, not only that it gives you 2 days extra to have fun in the sun.
