I'll be searching for a house in the Tampa Bay / Sarasota / Naples Beach area soon, and will be staying in motels whilst I search. Can anyone recommend a chain of motels that are respectable, reasonably priced, clean and safe for me to use ??

'Comfort Suites' are quite good, I have used them on business in the Boston area. There are a number of similar chains. The price of your room decreases the longer you book it for. They are designed for business travellers on a budget. They normally have a desk/working area, a couple of easy chairs and a small kitchen area with microwave and fridge. You can opt for different service levels which mean they clean your room more often. If you do a search looking for the area your interested in and 'suites' you should come up with a few options.
