5 adults going for 3 weeks in August we will purchase 14 day disney and 14 day universal tickets. However when i last visited 9 years ago we stayed in a disney hotel and i still have 12 disney park tickets valid on 4 disney hotel key cards in the names of myself, my wife and 2 children (all adult tickets), and they will be on this trip.
Can i use all these outstanding tickets just for myself and buy the disney tickets for the family as this will save me £200 ? or will they want proof of ID on the gate. I have looked at ticket options and this looks the best way around it.

Hopefully this is not a silly question but why are you wanting to buy a combined total of 28 days worth of Disney and Universal tickets when you are only going to be there 21 days, you wont be able to use them all within your holiday and it would seem to me to be a bit of a waste of your money and of the remaining days on the tickets imho .... what about all the other parks and things to do in the area maybe you might like to visit them, a lot has changed since your last visit I am sure ... and I think you will find that a lot of the parks use a finger print ID to get into the parks now so I don't know if the original tickets that you have would be valid for one person to use if they are all individually named.

Only Disney can tell you if the original tickets are valid as some were length of stay only. You really are wasting money buying the 14 day passes as it is impossible to make full use. You would save money by buying our Base tickets.

Thanks for replies, I specifically bought the disney tickets with no expiry date so i could use them in future.
As for the park tickets i have not done my homework fully yet but we want to go to all 4 disney parks + 2 water parks, both Universal and seaworld plus Aquatica, thats 10 parks over 21 days,

Have a look at this offer we have for Disney http://www.park-tickets.com/disney-parks/disney3-magic-plus14.aspx you will end up with more days than you need but it is still the cheapest option.

On reflection I think the best option would be to purchase one of those tickets you say and 4 x 3day base which is a 5day ticket and using our old disney tickets for the water parks.
It does not actually say fastpass is included on the 3day base, is that the case?
Also previous times i have been, i always purchase my tickets when i arrive mainly because if for any reason we had to cancel we would be stuck with them.

Fats pass is included. You can buy them at the gate but no upgrade and no discount plus you have to queue. They dont expire until used.
