I posted a thread asking how long do you have to wait for an answer regarding the issuance of a visa.

I ended up getting in a protracted debate on weather a visa was neccessary or not.

I would like to ask this question of everyone.

you were arrested for alledged employee theft (wrongfully) and realeased with no charges ever being made. you have an upcoming trip to florida. keeping in mind the wording on the ESTA application would you think it neccessary to apply for a visa. would you actually apply for a visa?

It's therefore not helpful to ask the question - as you yourself already said on the other thread, everyone has their own opinion on the subject and no-one is formally qualified to respond to your question.
