Back in 2005 my wife and I stayed in Silver Creek for a few days. We remember eating in a great steak house on the 192 but not its name. I don't think it was a chain, or at least we didn't recognise it back then. On subsequent annual trips we have tried to find it but with no success. We only recall the following so there's not much to go on.
- on the left hand/south side of 192 as you drive towards 27
- was in the ground floor of a larger building (hotel I think).
Any ideas? It has become an annual annoyance as we look out the car windows from Markers 10 to 4 trying to find it.
Thanks
Graeme

Black Angus Steak House
7516 W Irlo Bronson Hwy
Located in the Econolodge
Hawaiian Maingate Hotel
Spot on Maureen. I've been looking on the wrong side of the highway for 5 years! Many thanks. Graeme.
If it was on the right hand side I would have said Colorado House of Beef.

Black Angus is on the south side of the 192.
It might have been Key W Cools, which was on the north side and pretty adjacent to the sheraton. Think it might have changed hands now though?????

If it's on the south side, and its inside the hotel, then I'm pretty sure it's this one. I said it was on north because that's how google maps is showing the restaurant label - but I can also see the actual address is on south side. Thanks for the help - I'll try it when we're next over.

It's more or less at the junction with 192 and Old Lake Wilson rd.

talking of steaks-is it really worth paying so much more $$$$ for steaks at Charleys-than say the black angus or the outback?

If my understanding is correct, it is all down to whether the restaurant sells USDA Prime or Choice cuts. Prime is best quality and Charleys provide it. I'd say there is a significant steak quality difference between Outback (although good) and Charleys. I'd say it is worth it as a treat.

Hmmmm!
I think for our meal treat I would prefer to go to an evening buffet at the villa di flora. I love having all that choice and as much as I like steaks-I just love having little tastes of (almost) everything-lol!
