View Full Version : Teabags!!
I know this is really sad, but I drink Decaff Earl grey- can I take some with me or would that not be allowed? Does anyone know if I can get them over there?

Take them with you, saves the hassle of shopping around for them, plus will be cheaper.

Take them with you, on our recent visit we took Tea, Coffee & ticked on the form that we had food products, we were just asked what we had and then our cases the xrayed, no problems.
Always take Tea bags in the case, never had any problems
Tea is fine to take into the US - see the list of approved products on the US Embassy's website:

I never travel to Florida without my tea bags and they are really easy to pack.

Do you all tick the yes box for food on the form? we never used to but having a watched "Nothing to Declare" in Australia decided I would, but as said above no problems.

I'm really fussy and have to drink my tea out of a fine bone china mug, so I take two with me (one for my sister and one for me) She takes the Tetley tea bags.
OH drinks coffee and uses the ones supplied in villa. [msnsmile2]
I provide china cups for us English folk :) I am just the same!!
I take my own tea bags also, as I like Yorkshire Tea Decaff, but have noticed they sell Tetley Teabags in Publix now.

I think Australia are even more fussy than the US. I have never declared my teabags

I always tick the food section if we have tea, coffee, chocolate, etc.
the immigration guy glanced at our form and asked what we had when we told him he said no worry we only needed to declare if we had meat etc, then lady at customs asked what we had and when we repeated what the immigration guy had said told us we had done the right thing and there would be no problems if we have declared permitted items and we should continue to tick the yes box.
