We(5 of us)were booked to fly with Flyglobespan next October from Glasgow to Sanford, flights only, thankfully the wife
took insurance with these.Went down to the travel agents the morning after the news and managed to rebook the same dates
with Continental which was £300 cheaper plus we are flying from Edinburgh that's only 20mins drive.

We've never done the Edin-Newark-Orlando route as it's always been
direct to Sanford so did we do the right thing ? what are the pro's
& con's ?

Thank's

I would think the 300 pounds you saved is a pro. Continental is a good airline and another pro is you will clear immigration at Newark so will not have to stand in a queue at Orlando. Orlando International Airport is closer to the amenities than Sanford dependent on where you are staying so not as long a drive when you get there.

Glad you managed to change your flights.

We ave friends in Edinburgh who fly Continental through Newark and have said the flight and airline are pretty good.

Thank's for the replies,we are now looking forward to flying to Newark as it does split up the long flight, think it's about 1h 40mins between flights going which is ok as long as we are on time, but on the return I think it's 4hrs 30mins.
We have rented a villa at Silver Creek which looks closer to MCO than Sanford, so it seems that we are better off now with Continental.
